Dhaki Social Post Size Guidelines⚓︎

Note

Last updated: September 2025

These are the latest official sizes and aspect ratios to use when creating content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn.

Always follow these specs to avoid cropping, compression, or poor display across devices.

Video (Alt) 1:1 / 16:9 1080 × 1080 / 1920 × 1080 Accepted but less effective.
Minimum Practical 9:16 720 × 1280 Below this may look soft.

Safe area: avoid text in the bottom 10% (captions/UI) and right edge (engagement icons).

YouTube⚓︎

Use Case Aspect Ratio Recommended Size (px) Notes
Standard Video 16:9 1920 × 1080 Default full HD; supports up to 4K/8K.
Shorts 9:16 1080 × 1920 Vertical format only.
Thumbnail 16:9 1280 × 720 (min 640) Max 2 MB, JPG/PNG/GIF.

Safe area: don’t place text at extreme edges; thumbnails auto-crop in some views.

LinkedIn⚓︎

Format Aspect Ratio Recommended Size (px) Notes
Post — Link/Photo (Landscape) 1.91:1 1200 × 627/628 Best for link shares.
Post — Square 1:1 1200 × 1200 Works well across devices.
Company Logo 1:1 400 × 400 Transparent PNG preferred.
Page Cover ~5.9:1 1128 × 191 Keep key elements centered.

Quick Export Cheats⚓︎

  • Instagram Feed: 1080 × 1350 (4:5)
  • Stories/Reels, TikTok, Shorts: 1080 × 1920 (9:16)
  • YouTube Thumbnail: 1280 × 720 (16:9)
  • LinkedIn Landscape Post: 1200 × 627/628 (1.91:1)

Best Practices⚓︎

  • Center important elements (CTA (1), logo, face)

    1. CTA stands for Call To Action, the element in your design (text, button, or message) that tells the audience what to do next, e.g., 'Book now', 'Follow us', 'Learn more'.
  • Avoid extreme edges (UI overlays may cover).

  • Export originals (no upscaling; use H.264 MP4 for video, PNG/JPEG for images).
  • Match ratios even at higher resolutions (e.g., 4K 9:16 is fine if file size allows).

Notes⚓︎

  • Instagram introduced 3:4 portrait posts in 2025. Default to 4:5 if unsure for consistency.
